PARK REGISTRATION FOR THE 2021 WWA WAKE PARK NATIONAL POINTS CHASE SERIES NOW OPEN!

LAKE ALFRED, FL (February 25, 2021) With the summer season quickly approaching, The World Wake Association (WWA) announces the return of their biggest national event series in cable wakeboarding: the WWA Wake Park National Points Chase series (NPC). This mainstay series brings together parks from across the nation that will display all skill levels of home-town riders from amateur to pro. Riders will get the chance to compete at their local park each week in traditional wake park and features only disciplines to qualify for the premier Nautique WWA Wake Park National Championships at the end of the season.

Dedicated to pushing the sport to new heights, the WWA is giving parks registered for National Points Chase more perks than ever before. With the innovative app, WWA Rideline, parks will receive access to tools, marketing and promotion from the WWA like never before. In addition, parks will also have the opportunity to have their team manage and run registration through the Rideline app. To give parks even more promotion, they will be able to share all of their park’s events and promotions, not just NPC qualifying events, through the WWA’s channels for even more exposure.

“We are so excited for the return of the Points Chase Series Nationwide. Each year we are seeing more new faces and new parks from different parts of the country, all passionate about competing in wake” stated WWA Executive Director Corrie Wilson. “This series has become the premier amateur wake park event that competitive athletes have come to look forward to every year.”

Each park registered for The National Points Chase series will be required to run a minimum of one event discipline prior to the WWA Wake Park National Championships. Results will be due within 48 hours after event to minimize mistakes and miscommunication. “I am so stoked for the 2021 Nautique Wakesurf Series to kick off,” commented Nautique athlete John Akerman. “Every year there are so many new surfers to meet that are excited to try competitive wake surfing! Nautique Boats and The WWA always spread the stoke by providing the best venues, judging legends, and best of all the most innovative wakesurf waves in the industry!”

The series will once again play host to the most diverse field of competitors in wakesurfing. Surfers spanning the globe will compete for points on the Nautique Wakesurf Series Rankings System. Surfers will earn points based on their placement within their division at each event they attend for the 2021 season. The winners at each stop of the series will automatically secure their invite to the crowning jewel event of the season: the Nautique Masters Wakesurf Championships, presented by YANMAR. Fans and surfers alike will be able to follow all of the action at thewwa.com/nautiquesurfseries.

Another first that only Nautique and The WWA can bring to our event participants is a day at the Surf Ranch this fall. Yes, you heard that correctly. The overall Pro Women and Pro Men winners of the Nautique Wakesurf Series will have the opportunity to spend a day shredding perfect waves created by Kelly Slater Wave Co. and the perfect waves behind the G23 at the Surf Ranch in Lemoore, California. In addition, the winners of all amateur divisions at each stop on the 2021 Nautique Wakesurf Series will be entered into a random drawing for two additional spots up for grabs at the Surf Ranch. Additional information on the Surf Ranch experience will be posted on thewwa.com website.
