MALIBU RIDER EXPERIENCE SOUTH POSTPONED

ORLANDO, FL (May 29, 2020) – The World Wake Association (WWA) and Malibu Boats have been monitoring the current situation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19). In an abundance of caution, the Malibu Rider Experience South stop originally scheduled for June  27th – 28th in Mt. Juliet, TN has been postponed. The new dates for this stop will be announced in the coming weeks. At this time a minimum of a 30-day notice on any event changes to the remaining stops of the series will be provided.  
 
The Malibu Rider Experience Series is the world’s premier amateur development series. This season amateur riders across the U.S. will come together alongside the top Malibu Pro athletes for a weekend focused on the next generation in wake through family-friendly instruction and competition in a laid-back atmosphere that is open to participation from all who are interested. 
Information and registration can be found by visiting TheWWA.com/RiderExperience. All athletes must compete in their respective WWA Regional Championship in order to be eligible for the 2020 WWA Wakeboard National Championships (boat only).
 
All riders must hold a current WWA Pro Card in order to register in the pro division at any WWA wakeboard event. The top 15 riders on the 2019 WWA Wakeboard World Rankings list will retain their Pro Card for the 2020 season. All other riders must obtain their Pro Card at one of six qualifying events. Create & Claim your WWA Rideline Account!

You can now create user and rider accounts in WWA Rideline App.  If you’ve competed in recent years at a WWA event, it’s possible that your profile will have already been created by us which means you will need to claim your account!  

The steps listed below will guide you through the create and/or claim account process. 

Step 1: Create a User Account (First Open)

  1. Open WWA Rideline App 
  2. Enter an email and password then press the “sign up” button. 

3. Once you sign up, you’ll be sent a “verification code” to the email you used from The WWA.  Check your email and type that code into the verify email section prompted in the app. 

4. Congratulations you’ve created an account on WWA Rideline App.  Now your favorites will be saved no matter where you log-in! 

Step 2: Create or Claim Athlete Account

1.  To create and claim your athlete profile, in the WWA Rideline App select the “my career” tab on the bottom bar

2. You’ll then be automatically prompted to type your FULL NAME if you haven’t created or claimed and athlete profile!  Enter your name and press NEXT at the bottom.

3. Next you’ll select your gender and press the next button

4. Now you’ll select your country and press the NEXT button.  You can search the list if needed. 

5. After selecting your country you’ll arrive on a list of existing athletes that should match the information you filled out.  Locate your profile and tap on it.  NOTE: If your profile does not match an existing athlete you will be asked if you want to create the new athlete profile.  


6. Now you’ll be asked if you would like to claim the athlete profile “name”  select YES if this is you!  We list the events the athlete has competed in as well as country to help you verify if this is your profile or not.  

8.  Now you’ll arrive on the Claim Athlete page which gives you a few steps you can take to enable us to verify that the account you’re claiming is you! 

Verification Types: 

Social Media – You can send us the code via direct message on any of our social media channels @TheWWA using your personal account that matches the rider profile you wish to verify.

Email:  Verifying via Email will require identification. Email us at info@thewwa.com

Existing Email:  If your email is already linked to the account you can just type the code we send you to the verified email.  

NOTE: If your email is on file an additional section will be displayed where you can enter in your email directly.

2020 Wakeboarding Hall of Fame Nomination Form

Make your 2020 nominations for Wakeboard Hall of Fame now. Nominees must be involved in the industry for 20 years. Three categories to choose from; athletes, innovator or lifetime achievement. Who do you want to see in the WHF?!

To make an official nomination, this form must be filled out by June 15th.
